The Workshop Experience
ViewFinder workshops are limited in size to ensure that participants and instructors have every opportunity to work together and create personalized learning experiences. Each workshop includes portfolio review sessions with the instructors, hands-on shooting and assignment work, group discussions, and instruction. Participants will have an opportunity to share their work from the week in the final evening’s celebration dinner and student show. The On Location Workshops community is creative, encouraging and friendly, balancing intensive workshop activity with time for participants to relax, network and enjoy the environment.
Location, Location, Location
The mountain landscapes and lush hillsides along Lake Como have been the inspiration of artists and the playground of the aristocracy for centuries. From the palm-lined gardens of luxurious villas to quiet cobblestone paths that wind through old villages, there is always something new to discover. The ViewFinder Center will make its temporary home in a large estate nestled between the ruins of an ancient castle and the colorful lakeside village of Varenna. The facility provides a secluded and creative setting, with private gardens, sparkling pools and spacious rooms for meeting, relaxing and naturally, for taking great photos.

Prices range from Euro 1,825 - 2,325
What is included? All workshop and instructor fees, 6 nights accommodations at our private estate near Varenna, Italy; breakfast (Mon. - Sat.) and dinners (Sun. - Fri., including wine); and model fees for participants in the Original Nude workshop. Transportation to and from Varenna is not included.
