Join our five-day photography workshop in the incomparable Canyon de Chelly in Navajoland in northeast Arizona near the four-corner region. This part of the Southwest is amazing with the second largest canyon in the US, the oldest, continuously-operating trading post on Navajo land nearby, and a history that goes back to the Anasazi, as evidenced by the many ancient ruins in the red, sandstone cliffs. Here, you'll be able to celebrate your passion for photography, hone your seeing and imaging skills, and learn about the magic of light to make wonderful photographs.

The Navajo live here now and have for centuries. You may see small children scampering down barely-discernible trails in the cliffs to visit an aunt or uncle along the Chinle Wash (river) near the old hogan. Corn and squash in Navajo gardens add color along the Wash. Stately Cottonwood trees in their copper fall colors offer shade.

Since we are on Navajo lands, the only way to access the inner canyon (upper part of Canyon de Chelly and Canyon del Muerto) is with a Navajo guide. We will have both a private guide and a large jeep at our disposal with plenty of room for camera gear.

This is one of The Barefoot Contessa's favorite spots in the world, and she can't wait to return. We'll be based in Chinle, Arizona in the Navajo nation, and since there are only three hotels in town, it's best to book early! We already have sign-ups, so it promises to be a popular photo workshop.

In our print element, we will show you the ins and outs of successfully and easily printing from Lightroom using a high-quality Epson printer. In fact, in all our domestic workshops, you will end up taking home a lovely, large, archival print of one of your workshop photographs made with archival Epson paper and inks.

After all, our tag line reads, "Create great photos; make great prints!"

Discounts are available for early birds, alumni, and members of some organizations. For more information, go to: http://www.bcphotoadventures.com/CanyonDeChellyPhotoWorkshop.php and for other workshops, see our calendar. If you have any other questions, call Barefoot Contessa Photo Adventures at 919-643-3036 before 9 p.m. east-coast USA time.
